Here's a commission for one
When he sent me a note about a commission I asked him what I'd be doing to Lois Lane this time. Turns out I wasn't even guessing the right publisher! Once again, Winifred is using her evil transformational-mist-spewing scroll on more famous comic book characters than herself. She has traveled to Niflheim (spelled Niffleheim in the comics, but I wanted to use the proper Norse spelling, plus I'm a sucker for consecutive consonants)
to mess with Mighty Thor villainesses Amora the Enchantress and Hela.
I was given free reign on what kind of animals to change the ladies into, which is almost always a mistake. Don't give me free reign. I have a BFA in illustration, which means I need an art director to tell me what to do. But I figured, what's the least menacing and least sexy animal, respectively? Sheep and cow. I almost had Winifred refer to the Enchantress as "A-MOO-ra," but there was no equally good pun for Hela as a sheep.
The only other condition was to deck Winifred out in Asgardian armor of some kind. Whether it looked more like the comics or the movie was up to me. I think I succeeded. But it looks more like I split the difference between the two and added Mega Man X. Anyway, I had fun doing it.
