Underburbs 5

Here's the real cover for issue 5. I sketched out the lines on a piece of black matboard, and then TJ put the real work into it, rubbing pastels all over it until it became a veritable showcase of light, colour, and mood.

I really like this one, just so you all know.

Overall, and we'll probably start saying this periodically for each forthcoming issue, this is our favorite issue thus far, both in terms of story and art. We're both getting the hang of working on the 11" x 17" comic paper (a huge relief after doing the first three on 8.5" x 11" copy paper), the characters are starting to be fleshed out a little more each time, and we're really just having fun doing the book.

Here's a little of what's in store for #5: a visit to the Countess' home, dinner with the Pales, sleep-over hi-jinks, and more! We'll let you know as soon as this one's on the shelves.
